Alright I have been meaning to do this for a while.... I'll keep it to the point because not only do I want to type as little as possible, I'm sure you want to read as little as possible.
Feel free to ask questions, I have a ton of pictures if you want more detail on something.
Here's the story:
Back in 2014, I bought a pretty clapped out '95 M3 one day, 287k on the clock, I drove it to about 292k or so, when the worn out engine mounts caused the engine to pitch it's fan blades right into the radiator.
Ok game on. So I bought a salvage 2000 Camaro SS with about 44k on it - it was side-swiped and all of the stuff I wanted was fine.
I stripped the cars, parted out the Camaro, and started buying parts and planning out my project. At this point it's ~Jan 2015.
A lot of what you will see in the pictures to follow is the work that I did from 2015-2016 summer or so to get the swap functional, I put ~1000 miles on it that year.
Then, 2016 winter, I decided to strip everything back down, to finish the build, meaning paint, modify some things, lose a little weight, now that I knew it was working, got some seat time, and had a better idea of all of these things.
Well that basically brings us to today. Long story short, the car is a white body and just about ready for assembly, again, so I figured I'd start documenting this idiocy.
Oh, I guess the main goal of this is, in the beginning anyway, to make a street legal track day tire destroying fun machine.
It's basically still that but drifting further and further from street legal as it goes on.
Down to business...

^^^ stock Camaro shifter didn't quite work... but a modified damper rod does!
...my other ride...
...kidding, this is my other ride...
...ok ok, back to reality... right about now is when this project kind of stalled... I had the car running and driving, but I wanted to finish everything, so I started dis-assembling with the intention of it only taking the winter....
Then I moved... into a new garage... this one has a house on the property too! How convenient!
^^^new digs, new motivation! or maybe the word is mistakes....
Uh...wow - that is an undertaking.
The work space is a dream!
Enjoy the images-thanks for posting!
