Is there another way to tell Diffs. apart besides tag?

First of all, excuse the noob question . So, after checking my little magic paper under the rear seat, I noticed my car has option 209 (LSD); but when checking my Diff. case, the tag is so rusty I can't discern the numbers on it... Do y'all know if there's another way to check that out?

Block front wheels.
Release parking brake.
Put car in nutural.
Jack one real wheel off ground, try to rotate/twist that rear wheel/tire.

If wheel does not rotate, twist wheel with torque wrench on low value, increase torque untill you can rotate wheel. Check value to Bentley value.

Thanks to both for the replies; I use realoem quite a bit, and I never thought the VIN checker was that detailed! Just checked and it does come out as having LSD (3.23), so problem solved , thanks again!

I also use this site as sometimes RealOEM will not tell you whether the diff is an LSD or if LSD was just an available option.
