Air bag of 4 spoke to 3 spoke

I have an M3 e36 with steering wheel 4 Spoke and I want to change it for a Sport 3 Spoke. I need to know if the 4 spoke airbag can be placed on the 3 spoke.
    Thank you!

Air bags are specific to the steering wheel. There may be some possibility that an E36 4 spoke bag is interchangeable with the M3 4 spoke bag, but I'm not even positive about that.

From 4 spoke to 3 spoke I would say there is zero chance of compatibility.

From realoem the airbag and leather front is one assembly. So no, they're completely different parts and shapes.

    Also...use realoem.com

Yeah, no. You cannot put an airbag on a steering wheel that has different spokes.

    ^^

Yeah not even sure the question. It's like asking will square X fit into triangle hole Y.

Be glad though, as it's the airbag that makes the 4-spoke such an horrific looking wheel.

Nope, not going to fit, you'll need BMW part number 32342229030 for the 3 spoke airbag.
