Hi all, just got a 1995 540i sport and factory build list shows interior upholstery as "LEDER BISON US - L3PE". When i search the forums, i see that the interior has tan carpet, tan door cards and a tan-ish dash. My car has everything black except for the front seats. Even the dash is black. Im aware PO could very well have replaced all the panels to make it black, but even the dash and carpet?? Was there an option from BMW for black carpet/dash with the L3PE interior?

Bison leather isn't a specific color, there were several colors, including black.
If swapped then a comprehensive and proper job of it.

Gotcha. Looks like interior was swapped. I'd like to swap back to tan. Anyone in socal want black for tan interior?

I would trade my tan sport interior for black sport interior.
