On my 1982 e21 I get an intermittent brake wear light that will come on and stay on. Then the next time I drive the car it will come on again after driving for a while. I replaced the wear sensor but still get the same results. Any help I would appreciate it. Thanks
Check to see if you have a sticky brake fluid level sensor, or borderline low fluid?

Thanks John I will check this out when I get home.
The E-brake switch can do the same thing and is connected to the brake light like the fluid cap switch-Either can flicker the brake indicator light. The Brake Pad Wear Sensor Light is not connected to the brake light its connected to the circle of pie pieces or White Hash Marks-Red Plastic with White Light bulb in back of instrument cluster,,this system runs on a negative feed back loop and this is how its turned off. Once the key is on and all the indicator lights come on, the car starts and the brake pad wear sensor light goes off, like the alternator light. Check for wire break by continuity test.
Your All Welcome
