    Unhappy Overheat

So, i was hanging out with my friends and had the car idling for a while, then i realized the temp gauge was on red , started driving and it cooled down. Should i be concerned about any damages? or is it just a defective temp sensor?

Inspect the entire cooling system, let us know what you find.
I truly doubt a defective temp sensor.

I would check the electrical cooling fan...is it kicking on?

Fan clutch or cooling fan, whichever one you have isn't working.

Update: It was a defective fan/fan controller, it doesnt turn on when it should, luckily it seems that the car hasnt taken any permanent damage from the incident.
