Hi guys!
Just wondering if anyone had a chart or some kind of comparative data to see which BMW's have the best power-weight ratios. I just want to know which car has the most power with the lightest weight.
Thanks guys!
Jake
I'd have to give it to the Brabham BT52 at 1.4875lb/hp.
Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one?

M2?
i was able to get a stock s52 with m50 intake/3" exhaust in a e36 with driver(155lbs) to about 8.3lbs per whp; 117mph in 1/4mile at 2220lbs w/ driver. the car will be flirt with low ~7's lbs per hp n/a before i am done and if someone was more inclined to chase the remaining weight i see they could go around 6.5ish and run high 10's at 124ish mph in 1/4 mile. this is a maximum weight reduction example but at least provides some resolution as to what is possible with the e36 platform; ~1800lbs curbweight.
Probably a heavy car with a turbo engine like the M5 or M6. You can get close to 600 factory horsepower to push 4400 lbs, which is about 6.8 lbs per hp. The lighter smaller BMW like S54 M Coupe or 1M are more like 10 lbs per hp. And the old E30M3 was closer to 15 lbs per hp.
I have a 3300 lb modified turbo 99M3 that makes about 700 rwhp, which is about 800 crank hp, and that works out to about 4.2 lbs/hp.
