I am doing the UUC Evo3 refresh as part of new clutch/flywheel, but there are bushings not included with this kit or any kit for that matter that contribute to firming up the linkage including the shifter arm bushing. Here is Turner poly bushing on the arm:
    Attachment 617906.

I also found some stiff poly bushings for the double ended bracket of the shift arm that gets the pin to the top of trans at Garagistic . The OE bushings are pretty sloppy even new and I think may contribute to overall slop. I believe they are for the single arm end of the 6 cylinder 5 models, as they are 2 piece and not made to fit the tight quarters of the dual arm end. I sanded the inner half 's down and wedged them in. When fitted to the trans mount, with pin in it is super snug, maybe too tight, but I'd rather start to tight and then tweak later if needed, or just let wear and break-in do the job.

First of all, am I the only one who gets sent out to useless viglink product search BS websites when I click on links from this board like the ECS one above? I basically have to quote the message, and then get the actual address from the quoted material to be able to access the real website... Maybe it's something I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, great stuff here! I'll probably order that Turner bushing for when I do my next clutch install. Unless I just feel like playing around with the Philly urethane fill project.

I used some delrin (??) bushings from ECS when I did my E60 shifter install, and they seemed pretty good, but I like the look of that Garagistic setup better.

M5jeds unicorn bushings are the best i've found. They are made to fit the dual bushing setup.

    agreed...

I didn't know about that Turner part... would definitely buy instead of OEM, although I also like the retro-mod-your-old OEM...

also like the general homebrew of bushings for the other parts...

didn't know about a bushing inside the "selector joint"? every tranny I've seen ("and I've seen a lotta tranny's... wakka wakka") has that part flopping pretty loosely.

I know I'm restating myself but I think you do all that stuff and the fancy DSSR part is pointless/does nothing

No ishtar bro. Insanely frikkin annoying.

Here's how viglink works. A discussion-forum website operator, say, oh "BlammerFlorums.com", has all these people posting links constantly. Except, if some userloser lets say a guy named "grindgearer", posts a link to a commercial website, lets say, "ICPeuro.com".... Well maybe then 100 peoples buys something off that link, but, the site gets no revenue for it cuz it doesn't go through an affiliate type system.

What vigscumbagdbags does is when you click on the 'appears to be a link to ICPeuro', sneakily replace the ICPeuro.com link with one to a different site that vigfuqorz and the host site get affiliate revenue from, hoping you won't notice that the link you've clicked on is NOTHING REMOTELY LIKE WHAT YOU FRKNNN WERE INTERESTED IN AND PROMISED WHEN YOU CLICKED. It is insanely irritating and stupid. The only people it must vaguely work on are moron housewives shopping for god knows what, and who don't care that what they clicked on vs what they got aren't the same as long as they can buy the same jar of artisanal royal-bee-jelly buttock-salve at the new / other place.

The dirtbag pieces of crap at viglink have an 'opt-out', so if you go there in theory you can turn it off, tho I've had mixed luck w that, but also running copious adfkkr softwares seems to help and block it. I run probably 4 different blocking things on Chrome on my PC, my iOS finger touchy things also have a couple varieties. .

I don't have to use anything. Phone or desktop.
It might be a location dependent thing?

I get that Viglink once in a while on my iPad, never on my PC.
On my iPad if I keep my finger on the link it lasts me open the link in a new page, then it works and doesn't go to that Vigscumbag site.

He definitely does Jim!! If that dude isn't an author, he has certainly missed his calling.

Thanks for the tip, I try the hover method and also look for some app to install into chrome, which is what I use most often. But whatever, I can always get the link by quoting the post that contains the address. No real biggie I guess.
