light bogging issue 320i carb 1979

I have new fuel pump coil and all new filters. Timing is set right. Spark plugs clean and gap is okay.

Weber 32/36 is rebuilt recently as i did the swap to carb fairly recently. I had a worse bogging issue because i had the pump running off the coil which was only getting about 4v when i put the multimeter on so i temporarily ran it off my battery and it ran way better. Although im still getting some light bogging at higher rpms most of the time and only under load.

Im not sure if im suppose to have 12v constantly to the coil and that might be the problem. Not sure was else to check.

You can check the function of the vacuum controls on the distributor, check/clean/replace the points+condenser. Put a couple drops of engine oil under the felt pad (under the rotor) and check the centrifugal advance function. If never been replaced/retro-fitted; the ballast/resistor wire that feeds the + side of the ignition coil probably needs to be replaced. Are all the fuel hoses on the fuel delivery side, new?

How did it run before carb installed?

all hoses are new and this car has the pertronix ignition. I found and rewired the fried wire so now i am getting 12v and it feels better but still bogs. Roughly around 4k now and not so much as before. I am going to recheck spark coming from my plug cables.

Before the carb it just ran rich but smooth overall

well hooked up a vacuum gauge and found out i was pulling 20 inches of vacuum and unsteady so i found a leak at the egr pipe from my 73 mani. So i need to source a block off plate
