Driving into work this morning, CEL starts flashing, car losing power but was able to pull off onto a parking lot. Pulled the codes and got random misfires. Anyone has ideas on how to resolve. In the meantime i will start searching the forum for answers. No work has been done to plugs, coils etc withing the last two years.
Thanks

It could be any of those (coils, plugs, wires, or distributor). You may need to track the codes a couple of times to see if a pattern emerges. Sounds like it was only on one bank? If it's moving around on cylinders of one bank, it could be the distributor cap and rotor on that side. It could be as simple as a loose wire. Or it could be failing coils.
Thank you sir.

V12 has only 1 coil on each side. Check cap / rotor on that side, condition of plugs 1,2, 3. Reset codes, and see what happens. Check the air box for Debris / clogged filter
Having them on that many cylinders all at once . . . bad fuel?

I am also getting a thermostat failure on the code reader. Can this be linked to the misfire at all?

Check wiring to the thermostat. Its been known to kill an entire engine when that shorts out.
If the thermo itself just went bad you would just run rich, not have misfires, the misfires can be caused by a short in the thermo wiring.

Current situation, the car does not start now. Checked the two rotor caps, they look ok. What's an easy way to tell if fuel is flowing?
