Hello, my oem radio is having an issue where it keeps changing volume and cutting out. I have checked amp, and checked all fuses. I recently inspected wires and didn’t find any rips or tears. I noticed I’m missing the rear speakers but not sure if that could affect the radio as a whole. There are times where it plays perfect but it is usually interrupted by changing volumes and poor connection before disappearing all together. Radio station has no affect on it. Any ideas? I’m very lost on this one.
Is it the OEM radio? Does it change when you move the volume knob? Does it happen when turning or braking?

Its most likely bad wipers on the volume potentiometer. Mine was getting progressively worse until it just started popping and crackling the speakers and also cause them to sound erratic with volume. A quick fix for this is to remove the radio, open the top or remove the knob and spray an electrical cleaner inside the POT, one that wont damage plastic of course.
It is only a temp fix. Not sure of its value or design, but it may be easy to find a replacement potetiometer for it.

Update: The issue seems to be worse in the cold. Something may be wrong with head unit all together so i'm exchanging it and will test a new one shortly.
