AC not working normally but works on 'Max AC'

    Hello all,

I am fairly new to this forum, so if I sound foolish then I am sorry in advance.
I got a BMW 535i 2008 recently. The AC acts weird, it never works when I turn it on normally. When I try to adjust the AC temperature, it blows normal air, it's not cold. But, when I turn 'Max AC', it works perfectly fine.

Is it some setting on iDrive, or some electrical problem?

    Thank you in advance.
