Um, maybe it's just me out there, thinking and all... But what kind of engine rebuild and install overheats like that?
I would stop beating and modifying this engine until it's sorted. Roasting it harder will only make it worse.

Also, I hope you know that you can't slap on a 3.5" MAF without a proper retune.

Aw CRAP really? Mohammed, there's no damned way that car should have overheated. Take it the FK back, and tell the SOB that he should have made sure it was right before he gave it to you. Who the hell does a complete rebuild without driving it a hundred or more miles?

That's how they do it in London,
Unfortunately rushed,
By both of them!
Wadi, I am no upgrade expert,
But your shop truly disappoints!
To be really fair, they were working on the car from 8am till 4am, I bled the system myself when it overheated till now I've done around 700 miles and it ain't overheated again so I can say safely say it's bled properly now using our procedure in the FAQ, didn't have jack so I drove the nose up a pavement so it's higher then the rear lol.
Yeah Abel, I'm just collecting my parts then probably gonna give you a shout for a S52US tuned ecu!!
ive got my first issue:
when I rev at idle or something the rev sticks for a few seconds and drops so I think vacuum leak somewhere and the fun bit is no garage in London have I found with a smoke machine!

"To be really fair".....there's no damned way that shop should have let that car go away without quite a few shakedown trips, driven by the technician that built the engine. When I finish a motor, I drive the car quite extensively for a few days, amassing a hundred miles or so, putting it back on the lift a few times to check that everything's buttoned up correctly. If the throttle sticks or the revs don't return to normal immediately, I fix the problem before I let the car go home. I watch the temp gauge like a hawk for the first 50 miles, too.

It wasn't a shop I went to lol, just a guy who builds his own cars to drift! So far so good no more overheats or any leaks.
did my 1k oil and filter change yesterday using mobil1 0w40 full synthetic. I just notice that this engine with 1k miles and added s52 cams ain't quicker then the old engine which had 5k miles on it before it seized. Now I just gotta figure out why my revs hold for a second before dropping without a smoke machine because I can't find any

Today reached 2k miles since Rebuild.. drove 150 miles to see my mrs at speeds of 80-90mph no aggressive driving.
got there all was good few hours later when leaving I turn on the car and the engine has a really funny rattly/knocking noise... let the car get to operating tempreture still there.. unplugged the maf still there... checked the oil it's at full and oil is yellow and fresh. Didn't rev or leave the engine running as I don't want to seize it like my previous one. I'm on a flat bed at 12:49am heading back to London... I sent a video via email to Chris! Please guys help I'm really upset. If anyone wants to hear the noise

Funny enough, the RAC managed to Tow me half way on a flat bed and another flat bed to pick me up. When I started the motor dead cold from a 1 and a half hour journey the noise disappeared but as it warms up noise comes more visible and also when you Rev it you can hear it. I haven't revved it past 1.5k I learnt the hard way

First video sounded almost normal.
2nd video doesn't sound right at all.
That engine is suffering something. Impossible to know what from videos.
Let me know if you want me to refund you the money for the tuning. I haven't started building it yet, and don't want to have you spend money on the wrong thing right now. Seriously, take care of everything first before destroying it completely.
I know how it is to be a (broke) college student. Reliability comes first, NO MATTER WHAT.

Nono Abel wasn't driving hard I drove 100 miles to see my Mrs doing 80/90 the whole way, when I got there we chilled few hours later I started the car and heard this funny noise, go ahead with the ECU I will need it regardless!
the struggle in london is real! £11.50 a day congestion charge, £4.40 a hour parking, £1.36 a litre of unleaded. Then there's personal expenses, then uni books and the list goes on lol...

Spoke to the engine builder. He says to swap out the 0W40 Mobil1 oil to 10W40.
Chris can only tell me it's a single cylinder sound because he can't diagnose without putting his hand on the car.
the contracted mechanic the RAC sent out to me last night happens to think it's a loose chain tensioner/ chain rattle or small end bearings which I don't think the m54b30 conrods have.
no mechanic or tech from London that I know is willing to touch my car as it's a "modified" engine.
the only techs I could find who would touch it are busy till mid March :|
now I have to get the bus to uni again and stop work till it's fixed. (I deliver with the car)
and yet again... my luck is so bad that if I bought a cemetery, people would stop dying...

I started the car today for a brief 30 seconds... when it was idling and I took off the oil filler cap the car stalled. Tried it the second time it seemed like it wasn't running right...
when i lock the the steering wheel to full lock and hold it at full lock the noise seems to quieten but is still visible. Noise is near the front of engine

First time I removed the filler cap before these videos it stalled. Also what's that funny popping noise when I take the filler cap off ?
