From what i understand, the rear outer lower control arm bushing can be replaced with a ball joint which is the same as the upper rear outer.
Can anyone confirm that part # 33306852895 can be used for the upper and the lower.
Correct, it can. This is the factory setup on the M3 cars.

Yes it can, and that is what i did when I replaced the rear bushings on my 328i. Just order 4 ball joints and you are good to go.

They are also very easy to replace. Can be done on the car. Just have to take off the Brake Caliper Bracket / Assembly.
