03/1998 528i auto cruise control turns on fine and engages fine but will accelerate then coast then accelerate following this cycle once every 15 seconds or so continually until I get annoyed and turn it off.
Recently had to replace my left rear wheel sensor never used cruise control prior to the replacement so I am unsure if the issue existed previously.
There are no codes and this may be unrelated but my abs randomly engages under 10 mph intermittently and occasionally at low speed in reverse.

Yeah your ABS and cruise are undoubtedly related. Right rear sensor is used for cruise, left rear is used for speedo. If the right rear is cutting in and out then is assplains your cruise and ABS issues. Could be front sensor issues also but I'd start there...

Yea once I figure out how to leave the Under hood plugged in and drive with my laptop I plan to do some live data on inpa to verify the sensor readings
