Hi i have an e36 318i (ca31) and hers original clutch came to the end of his life at 120k miles i wold like to hear some advices on some models and brands and also on the break in procedure
Thanks for ya'll bimmerheads
Break in procedure? Drive normally for 500 miles. Don't do any dumb shit as you don't want to create hotspots or glaze the clutch surface. You want to the clutch to create a perfectly circular wear pattern into the flywheel. Could be as little as 200 miles as it was for me. My flywheel is making this horrendus whirring noise as if it wasn't fully disengaging in neutral but that was just part of the break-in. It cleared up and has been perfect since.
Sachs is OE supplier for clutch disk and pressure plate. Luke is most likely the flywheel OE supplier.
