    M60 exhaust manifold/y-pipe doughnuts

    Hi,

I wanted to replace these old gasket/doughnuts on the left with new so I've ordered PN#

    Part #3 - 18301728734
    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=18_0222

Old one, and new one. Are they supposed to compress THAT much or is the old one made differently and no longer for sale?

    e30 84 340i m6x powered.
    e34 89 535i 5speed - current DD
    e24 89 635csi - maybe a DD?

    e34 93 525i (m50tu) - gone
    e39 540i 6spd m-sport - gone
    e53 x5 4.4l - gone
    e30 89 325i (m20) - gone

Replacement appears to be incorrect part. I'd contact seller, send that exact photo and say you received wrong flange gasket

I found the same thing. My new ones came from a Victor Rienz head gasket set and they look the same as the new BMW one you've got pictured. I used my new ones and have not had an issue - no sign/sound of leaking. Yours look like a different diameter in the picture - is that the case? If so, you might have the wrong item.

Yeah it's going to be fun trying to prove to autohaus that the part doesn't fit ...they have 3 exhaust / muffler seal rings listed on their site when you navigate by car (1995 540) and out if the 3 parts the 18 30 1 728 734 is the only one listed as exhaust manifold to catalytic converter and the part number is matching with what Realoem shows as well.
