    I got a dog-leg!

Hopefully I can use it lol

I just bought it off the Facebook E21 page. I didn't have time to research whether it's the right one for me, but I got it for cheap so I figure if I can't use it I'll make a little money reselling it. Anybody have a rundown on the different dog-legs? This one came out of an '80 323i. I'm hoping to mate it to my M42 which if I remember right shares a bellhousing pattern with the M20. He couldn't tell me much about it except what it came out of and that it is in good condition.

    yup, same bolt pattern.

the M42 sits at 30º of engine angle, the M20 sits flatter then the M10 so you might have to do a custom shifter. also the G245 is longer then the G240 so a new shifter platform and a shorter driveshaft, all doable. how much more can the E30's driveshaft collapse?

one more thing brian, how about putting me at the top of that wait list )

I have my m20 sitting practically on the firewall. e30 driveshaft is collapsed all the way.

A dogleg would be nice but I would be afraid racing it. Unless I had a spare

    ^ you're going to have to elaborate. brian is running a M42, G240 and an E30 318 shaft, you're using a M20, G260 and E30 3xx shaft.

I was just stating, should of said I have my drive shaft fully compressed with no issues. Oh and I am running a drive shaft from a 635csi.

Is the M42 same bolt pattern as the m20 bell housing ?
