325xi all wheel drive different front and back tires

I took my 325xi to my trusted mechanic to get my front tires changed

From my understanding AWD cars should have the same exact type of tires

In the front he put 225 45 R 17

While in the back I have 205 50 R 17

Will this mess up my transmission

Staggered size wheels are common on bmws. Look at your current tires and see if they too are staggered.

Won't mess up anything, but odd that you have larger tires in the front. It's almost always the rears that are wider in staggered setups. I'm guessing that's a mistake.

What year is your car? Just go to tirerack.com and plug in the make/model/year and choose your trim package and it will tell you exactly what the stock tire sizes are.

I just picked up on that. If they put her staggers on flip flopped she needs to get that fixed.
