Have read that the Hoosier A7s are a bit wider than the A6s and am wondering if I'm going to have fitment issues with a 245R40/17 on my car...ran A6s in the past with no problems.
97 M3 with TCKline coilovers, car is lowered about an inch, rear fenders rolled, rear neg camber is about 1.75 inches. Wheels will be Kosei 17x8.5s. Have a variety of spacers on hand, 15mm, 12mm, 10mm, etc.

They should fit with the kosei’s, you might have to add a little more negative camber and fiddle around with spacers in the front.
I had a chance to line up a 225 a7 and a 245 a6. They were the same width. So you could just get the 225/45/17’s

The 245 A7 / R7 measure out to 265. On a 17x9 I needed a 3mm spacer out back to keep them off the inner fender liner.
I don't want to hijack the thread but I wanted to know if you guys think running Toyo Proxes RR 255/40R17 would work on Kosei 17x8.5" wheels. I know it's probably a bit better to run them on 17x9 but that size is harder to come by on the used market so I wanted to know if 8.5" wheels was still within reason for 255 tires.
Iiiiiii'mmmmmmmmmmmm Ooooouuuuttttttttttttttttaaaaa Heeeeerrrrreeeee...........
A7's should fit.
I am also running small spacers in the back to get them away from the inner fender...
99 M3 STU/ GTS3 Project
I'm back. Now to add to the thread, when I bought my 95 M3 the guy was using Toyo Proxes RR 255/40 on 17x7.5" style 22 et+41 wheels (I know it's way too skinny of a wheel but that's what it came with). I have not had any issues with rubbing and my car is lowered on ground control coil overs and koni struts. I don't know if Hoosier A6/A7 245/40's on 8.5" wheels would fit wider than 255/40 Toyo proxes rr's on 7.5" wheels. I hope that helps a little bit.
