    M42B18 budget engine modifications.

I just bought an e36 coupe M42B18 140hp fully stock for 300euro. I am thinking of making an budget build out of it.
So first of all the most important thing id like to have in it is a Turbo.

Im thinking of 3.0diesel e46 intercooler, upgraded injectors, modified ecu and a turbo it self

Has anyone done such build before? Is there a place to buy an already made turbo manifold? Where from to connect the vacuuum for the turbo? Where from to connect oil to turbo?
    What injectors?
    What turbo?
I'd like to keep stock internals. I've heard that M42b18 engine can hold up to 300hp with stock internals. Is that true? I'd be happy with around 250-270hp.
My plans are to participate in a time lapse race. What ratio diff would be the best?

The hardest part will be your ECU and spark/fuel control method. Mechanical parts are fairly easy to get if you search for them, but the ECU/wire harness is the main reason a lot of people don't turbo the M42... It's not similar to the M20 which has a large turbo following.

Judging that you said euro - which country are you from? Here in Lithuania we have shops that can weld a custom turbo manifold, I would suggest you make some research if anyone can weld one for you locally.
