Hey guys,
I'm building a M52 turbo set up on a clean 4 door e36 I have had for a long time now.
I will have a few questions along the way and could use some of the wisdom you guys have gained doing similar builds
on this platform.
Set up:
120k stock m52.
Cutring/spacer 8.5:1
s52 cams
Stock valve springs.
M50 intake manifold with direct port meth injection. 50/50
Obd2 pnp megasquirt
93 octane
60 or 80lb dekka injectors
walbro 255
stock fuel lines and regulator until motor is built.
spa t3 bottom mount port matched and wastegate port opened up and blended.
s257sxe turbo
treadstone 1235
3 or 3.5 down pipe
3.5 exhaust (Straight through design resonator and muffler)
zf trans
m3 dual mass flywheel
South bend stage 3 endurance clutch kit (Kevlar)
2.93 diffs online 188 40% 2 clutch diff with 328 output shafts and axles for now.
Stock 328 driveshaft or Ces driveshaft.
Goals:
Street car. Not my DD and not my more serious street/strip car.
500whp/450tq for now until built motor goes in. (I want to keep rods alive for awhile)
First question-
What turbine exhaust housing would you guys recommend?
Apparently my only options are from agp turbo becuase of my spa t3 bolt pattern.
I'm considering the .82.
Not sure how much physically larger the 1.06 is and if it would fit properly.

- Borg Warner S200sx 61mm .82 A/R (T3O-36-82-B61)
- Borg Warner S200sx 61mm 1.06 A/R (T3O-36-106-B61)
Thanks for any input.

With the AGP T3 housing you will most likely want something like the 1.06 A/R to start with. If its too laggy step down, but with that turbo and engine size I think you will want a larger turbine housing as the T3 housings they make are really aimed at 4cyl engines.
I was going to say 0.63 or 0.82 for an M52.
What I said was just my thoughts...does not mean its correct. The .82 might be a better starting point. The .63 I usually see on 4 cyls with ~2L displacement. I think thats too small.
Butters Stoch put together a kit for member E36Meylo that is trapping 130 mph on the quarter on an S52 running 93 pump gas plus meth. The turbo is a little bigger - PT6262 but it is a T3 running a 0.63 turbine housing. Very good power to trap 130 and very good response. Seems like a nicely balanced car. The OP has less displacement with his M52 to spool a turbo, so if he wants response, I would probably lean towards a smaller turbine housing.

Update-
.82 t3 housing ordered from agp turbo for s257sxe. Dyno graphs will be posted once I finish the car.
Next question-
I would like a new motor mount for the passenger side that is smaller than the oem mount. I looked around and it seems like AKG makes a 75D poly mount for this.
Does anyone have any feed back if this mount is too harsh regarding NVH? I will be running stock oe mount on drivers side.
I'm not looking to make this in to a race car and would like to keep noises down to a minimum if possible. (Solid mounts are a no go.)
80A would be the strongest with the least amount of piss you off. But keeping the factory drivers side will help. Not sure if its cause of the BW but many have ran stock mounts with a SPA.
