Power steering pump

Quick question here guys , I own a 97 740il and think I need to replace my power steering pump do to a constant leak from the big bolt behind the pump not sure why , I’ve replaced the washers couple times and DOES not stop. Question is will a 2001 power steering pump fit my 97 or does anyone have any good suggestions??

Go to www.resloem.com and enter the last 7 characters of your car’s VIN. Hit enter and bookmark the page. Scroll down to steering. Click on the pump section and click on the part # for the pump. That’ll tell what other cars the pump will fit.

Are you talking about the large banjo bolt that holds the hose from the reservoir? If so, you don't need a pump, you need a hose. Replace the hose, crush rings, and refill. It's not the pump. At least not in my 12 years of BMW experience.
