3 or 4 clutch diff for Supercharger

Thinking about re-building my differential. I'm going to be running a supercharger, but it is also my DD. Looks like 3 or 4 clutches, are both an upgrade. But 4 clutches costs a little more money. Is it worth it to do the 4 clutch diff?

Thayer Motorsports recommends 4 clutches for FI.

I ran a 3 clutch with supercharger and thought it worked well. 10 psi from a Vortech on an s52 won’t make big torque like turbo. Even for most turbos at 10 psi, it would be a good enough improvement. 4 clutch costs more and can have some noticeable side effects on deceleration on turns, but would be my choice for a 500 lb rwtq turbo car.

Here in s my worthless $0.02. Considering having had/built fresh 2/3/4 clutch diffs.
Doing a fresh 3 clutch has its advantages in cost. A big advantage.
A 4 clutch not only is more money for the kit but also down time for machining of the LSD cover. That being said, if you have the extra time/money to burn a 4 clutch will technically be better. How much better ? Little bit. Not overwhelming tho. A 3 clutch freshen up is a couple hours of work.

^ i think it was bimmerdiffs but the website sells a machined cover to fit the 4-clutch with the core charge it's like $50.
my experience is just from a worn out whore of a diff from the 80's vs one from a 2000 mcoupe. amazing difference. just amazing.
don't know how dramatic a 4clutch is from a relatively new 2clutch though.

The worn out one btw would get suppper sideways.
like drifting style no exaggeration. The new one slides me pretty straight. 100mph burn outs no problem.
