New to the forums and did a lot of reading to resolve my issue. First off, car had intermittent CEL for the past few months, usually occurred after hard acceleration. I'd shut the car off, restart and code would go away. Car ran normal with CEL on. A week ago CEL light came on and i had misfires at idle. Read codes, had multiply cylinder misfires, and cyl 1 misfire. Decided to take plugs out and check them out, all looked fine except 3,4,5 plugs where not tight and had oil on them externally. car has 120,000 miles on it and plugs where changed 20K ago. Decided to replace plugs, then started car, throwing codes for 5 of the 6 cylinders. Pulled plugs and now plug wells filled with oil. Changed valve cover gasket, a complete pain. changed all plugs and coils, car ran worst....at this point was scratching my head, disconnected MAS no change....showing misfires on cyl 5 and 6. Ultimate fix was 2 of the coils I purchased were defective, all in all the forums helped me troubleshoot and fix my car, I am sure I save a huge amount of money by doing this myself, just wanted to share my story and thank all the people posting in these forums, it definitely help me on my car!!!!

What kind of coils did you purchase? Let that be a lesson to everyone to purchase quality parts the first time.

You are correct not OEM coils.....I will go look at one of the boxes to get the exact name and brand
