    Front license plate trim removal

Im trying to remove my front license plate panel and I just can’t figure out how to get the grill sections out beside it to access the screws. Can anyone enlighten me on how to remove this?

What exactly are you trying to remove? The license plate bracket should just unscrew from the front. Not sure how to remove the license delete trim if that's what you need (I don't have one, just the 2 holes in the front of my car where the license plate was).

I’m trying to remove the front license plate panel. The thing you’d put a front license plate on. I know it unscrews from the front but I can’t see any screws and it appears they’re behind the grill pieces on either side

If you are talking about the entire piece as in the pic, I don't know how to remove that (someone else may chime in on that). My guess is that it just pops in using some sort of tabs. Otherwise, my license plate bracket was just screwed into those 2 spots you see in the pic (they are just plastic grommet things). If it's not like that, somebody may have done something to it. I would like to get the replacement piece they make for that when you remove the plate, but it's a little pricey ($200) and would need to be painted. So for now, it stays as is (or I may make something to go there).

Number 4 in the diagram. The actual bracket that the plate bolts to.

See how it has 2 little arms that extend off and have screws that’s go through them. Those are hidden behind the grill pieces (number 5 and 6). How do you get those grill pieces off to unscrew the bracket?

I don't remember taking those off, but I believe they are just held in with clips and they should just pull out. (The detailed instructions they give you in the manual are "Unclip covers toward front" with a picture with 2 arrows).

The screws to the license plate holder are behind the two black louvered trim pieces (circled in yellow). If I recall correctly, these trim pieces are just attached with metal expansion clips and should pop off with a screwdriver. Please double check me before going hog-wild on that one.

Correct those are what I’m trying to remove. I’ll just pop one of my thin panel removal tools in there and see what happens.

So I am getting ready to have to install that same front plate bracket and I'm curious.......did the grills just pop right off to reveal the screw holes?
