I too received the wrong exhaust. But hey, stuff happens. It got returned, and eventually (hopefully) I'll get the right one. Luckily an exhaust I bought just for fun isn't going to keep me from enjoying my car. And for 50% off? Yeah, I can wait.

Exactly! Hey, I've driven mine with the stock exhaust for the last 8 years, waiting another couple of months isn't going to bother me. Besides, I would rather them take their time and build a quality exhaust versus rush to make the deadlines and put out crappy products...

Sounds exactly how my kit came. Mufflers were shrink wrapped in some thick plastic, and then boxed with foam by Turner. The boxes were enormous compared to the size of the exhaust. Post #51 (4th photo) shows the box and foam mine came in. I placed my old mufflers on the plastic (also in the photo).
Drove my car to work today, and I can say definitively that the mufflers are a bit deeper and louder about 300 miles later...in a good way!

Mine arrived via FedEx at 1 this afternoon and I had them installed by 4. It was my first time to do the exhaust on a Coupe, so I struggled with the hangers until I figured out the easiest way to get them off and on. It would also have been very handy to have an under hoist stand to help hold them in place while I aligned and tightened everything, but I made do using my head instead.
Love the deeper exhaust note, and will see how it changes after a day at the track next week.

Been waiting since I ordered on black Friday for my shiny SS exhaust to arrive. I get a phone call today, acknowledging inventory, and ready to ship. It will arrive on TH. We went over the p/n to be sure there will be no hiccups or needed returns. Very nice to see that customer service is alive and well with some vendors....they impressed me, and now will be one of my top spots for other goodies, well done ECS

Well, I'm a little irked now. The date on my order said "shipping January 19th" and sure enough--I got an email from ECS today saying that it's been pushed back yet another month. I don't mind that it's not showing up right away, since it's the middle of winter, but I'm trying to plan the install around my work to replace the subframe bushings, and this is a bit annoying having to delay another month.
Yep. February 23rd is my new ship date. Hopefully this one materializes. Now to order the coilovers and have it all done by zfest time.
Wow. Hopefully QC will get better. Talk about a anti climax. How was it wrong
Was it shipped UPS or FedEx or USPS?
The cost of shipping a boxed exhaust 5 times could equal the cost of the exhaust itself.
Boxing greatly increases the volume to be shipped.
Mine is extensively but compactly padded and wrapped, and I showed *photos* to shippers a few months ago.
FedEx wanted it boxed, and quoted around $200 if they boxed and shipped it.
I think a UPS Store said they were not interested.
USPS said they would ship it as wrapped, for around $50. But I would not know until I actually tried to ship it.

FedEx. They are sending me return labels, so I'm not too terribly concerned with the pricing. I have shipped exhaust in the past though, and spent $90.
The exhaust I keep getting has angle-cut tips, which I hate. Funny though, because the PN on the one I keep getting doesn't even exist on their website.

No, not the DTM tips. As strange as those are, I'd probably take those. Haha. I'm just getting the plain old angle tips, and I want the regular rolled-edge tips. This is what I've received: https://www.supersprint.com/ww-en/bm...-oo-70.aspx#!/

My ship date now says February 16th, but the order page on ECS' website says March 2nd for availability. So I have no idea anymore.
I sent an email to customer service just asking for clarification, and I have had no reply. I've probably ordered $10,000 in parts from ECS over the last few years, and have never had a problem before. But now I'm really disappointed.
Harvey PM me the order number and I'll check the backend of the site.

Wish I could install mine... But it won't fit. "Bolts right up". And no reply from ECS.

I ran into this same problem when I bought my SuperSprint last year. From another thread:
Supersprint muffler, round tips (part 786606)... It sounds preeeeetty sweet.
Gave me a little trouble at times, though. Word to the wise, apparently the 2.8L produced for 97 through some point in 98 have a different coupling of the pipes between the cat and the muffler than what the SS muffler expects. Supersprint makes a special connecting pipe (part 786513) to bolt on to oe, but its pricey. I decided to buy it anyway rather than hack oe pipes to rig a solution together.
Also, adjusting so the tips werent contacting any plastic was a little tedious, since its a tight fit, but I got it where I want it and it looks (and sounds!) great.
Mine came off the line in Aug of 1997. Hope this helps you.
