Any benefit or disadvantage to switching to the 140A alternator? My stock 80A works fine but with the bigger fuel pump, Aquamist, and all the other accessories, I just want to make sure I have enough at full draw.
Thanks and gobble gobble.

With added consumers you would want a higher output alternator but used refreshed Bosch alternator is better than any replacement one IMO.
I can't see any drawback. I have a 140 on mine. With 3 electric fans, 2 big ass fuel pumps, and a powerful ignition system I'm sure I need it.

About 10 years ago, I replaced my valeo 80a with a Bosch 140a rebuilt from California alternator and starter on eBay. Quality rebuilder at least at the time. Still going strong. I was supercharged and had 4 fans and stereo and higher draw pump. I’d say that unless you have a primary electric fan or multiple fuel pumps you probably don’t need more alternator. In other words for just an aqua mist and 340 lph pump the 89a should be fine.
