Hi,
I have a question about straight piping my 2007 BMW X5 4.8i (E70). I currently have only one of the two exhaust pipes straight piped.
Is this bad for the car? Will this cause misfires?
Thanks.
It can definitely cause misfires. Just experienced this on an american car. The exhaust was so rusted out on one side bank 1 ran like garbage. Fuel trims were crazy, bank 2 was also overcompensating fuel trims more than likely as a failsafe. Misfire on 2 of 4 cylinders from leak. More than likely due to engine wear and lack of back pressure
