Need SRS tool. Not INPA/laptop. $15 OBD-2 vs. $200 code reader?

Bottom line, I want to reset my airbag light,
and the $15 B800 reader isn't doing it.
Can I buy something that does?

    I have a $15 Veepeak ODB2 reader.
Use it with Torque and OBDFusion to read/reset codes.
    Works fine.

I have an airbag light to reset and the $15 B800 reader isn't resetting.

I do not want to install INPA on an old laptop (too big a project)

I am looking at paying the dealer $150 to reset the SRS light anyways.
Is it worth investing in a "next level" code reader?
I noticed there are $200+ code readers.
What special uses are they for?

    BlueDriver seems popular for $99

I also see stuff like this in the $200 range

Did you fix the issue that caused the code?
What happens when you try to clear the code?
I have the B800 and have used it a few times on friends cars, worked OK for me.

Creator c310 is sub $50 and claims to do it. I have used it to reset fuel trims, but I haven’t had to try airbags. But I’m optimistic. It reset the trims and sees the bmw only codes. Torque does neither of those on the same car

Edit: looks like price has gone up, and it might not do abs on certain models. I withdraw my suggestion

The light is not a legit code.
I connected the battery while the airbag was removed (window regulator replace)
B800 did not work for me.

This seems to work on E46 and user comments say it resets the airbag light.
I might get this, but am still wondering why the B800 didn't reset it.
Is this the same technology as the B800 is the question. Or is INPA another level?
I have read old threads where many people said B800 didn't clear, but a more serious tool did clear.
Question is, which category is this one in?

Consider the Peake SRS. Works for me.

    Same here...PA soft running on win7 ...
was able to clear my air bag light... back when I disconnected the air bag w/o disconnecting the battery.

, plus pasoft allowed me to disable the faulty seat belt buckle switch from triggering the air bag light on.

Be careful w/ those PASoft programming options. They can brick a module. The airbag module is famous for locking up with internal error invalid config problem after trying to recode options.
