Hi all experts
BMW E46 318I engine N42
my AC climate unit does not turn on found that Fuse F63 was blown out , I changed the fuse and the fan blower does not start and when I press the AC button the fuse blown again.
I need the wiring harness of the AC ,can any body post a screen shoot of it here?
Fuse #63 is for the A/C compressor relay. What I would do is see what is spiking on the relay. Not knowing if this is a euro spec or british spec, as the relay is in different locations AFAIK.
What you can do is search for "BMW WDS" as that is the wiring diagrams for our cars. I have WDS only for offline on a XP Pro computer, otherwise it won't work.

Yes, it is. So you could have a relay gone bad or the clutch itself to the wire running from the relay to the clutch. I would say you have a couple of tests to perform to figure out what has gone bad.
How I would handle it would be like this:
1 Remove relay and see if the fuse blows
2 Test relay while out to see if it is good
3 Test the wire to the A/C compressor, but first unplug the wire.
4 Lastly check the clutch.
Good luck, I would say most of the time it is the relay.

I would start by checking the insulation on the wire on top of the compressor. The short wire from the connector to the clutch (wire coils under the pulley) often has cracked or entirely missing insulation.
Another likely area for problems is the wire from the body to that connector. If it's routed incorrectly the insulation can wear through.
