    745i Turbo Air Flow Meter

    Dear Friends,

Before my problem I want to give some information about my car.
    It's 1981 modell E-23 745i Turbo (EUR)

Air flow Meter's the fabrication settings were completely degraded and me and bmw service can not get a setting.
I need a new one but unfortunatelly BMW factory they don't produce this part any more. I searched on the internet but I did not find it. The bad side of the job, this air flow meter specially fit only for 745i Turbo modell.

    Original part no: 13 62 1 273 117 (7 wire) and Bosch Number is: 0280 203 012

Now, my request from you, which air flow meter you recommend for my old girl? This information is really very important for me because it's been with me for 37 years.
But please do not tell me the possibilities. Friends who are experts in this field make point shoots because you know the prices are quite expensive.

Thank you in advance for your interest and assistance.

Yikes, at 350EUR you can pretty much buy a Megasquirt 2 unit here.

    https://www.diyautotune.com/product/...-w-black-case/

Car will start better, drive better, be faster, and have better fuel economy. Pick up a B35 trigger wheel and sensor, you can even reuse your stock CTS and fuel injectors. B35 TPS too.

In any event, you will need the -012 AFM for your car. The -017 will not work as it is calibrated to run on the -127 yellow label ECU.
    I make E23 parts.

Thank you very much for your offer and suggestions. I'm sure after installing this system will be much performance. But there is no technical service to install this system in the region where I'm living. Maybe in the near future. First of all, AFM is urgently need for healthy operation of the car.

I do not know why I guess I can not send private messages.

My esteemed friends My question is; When air flow meter factory settings corrupted, is there anything that can be recalibrate ?

I was not successful with trial and error. The black wheel in the AFM is completely displaced. I can handle the air adjustment in some way, but this black wheel is very important.

You can reset it to factory spec with something like this - http://www.aemelectronics.com/produc...uego-afr-gauge

Shoot for 14:1 at hot idle.
