I've used the same cheap bumper covers from eBay for years with good results. I was weary, but they the look exactly the same as OEM.

The junk yard, OEM for about $100, all the accessories already attached, and if its not the right color, repaint for less than $200 at an off brand paint shop.

You have better JYs than I do. I have a vehicle alert set up at 3 LKQ yards and have yet to see a car with an intact front bumper.

Damn, I'm considering picking my fourth 740i sport, but the guy just sent me a photo of the front of the car... Cracked bumper with pieces missing (metal structure visible). Aside from some transmission issues (valve body related, rest of tranny already overhauled with warranty), the car is in pretty great condition. But seems like those front bumpers shatter like glass.
