Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but looking for some advice on a few error codes generated by INPA.
After clearing the errors and taking the car for a spin to induce the problem, INPA produces these error codes:
2B5C
51A7
5E1A
The car goes into limp mode, idles high, and if turned off will only start on the second attempt.
Any idea what's going on?
Thanks.
Is anyone able to help?
I've found the following from searching google:
2B5C - crankshaft sensor
51A7 - gearbox control unit
5E1A - dynamic stability control
Could anyone shed any light on what I should attempt first?
Replacing crankshaft sensor?
Thanks.
Hello and welcome to the forums! Take a look at the link below to our site's DIY tech articles on the E90 platform for the repair procedure for the crankshaft sensor and other procedures if needed for a later date. How is the car performing? Any issues with the gearbox or DSC?

Hi and thanks for the response.
As far as I can tell the car is running fine. This is the only issue. Battery has just been replaced, coded, and registered. The only other persistent error code I am getting is the E18D error code. I don't think that has any relation to this problem?
Should I go ahead and replace the crankshaft sensor? Can that be the cause of the other two, 51A7 and 5E1A, errors?
Thank you for your time and help!

Just though I'd mention that the problem has got progressively worse. Initially I could drive 30kms before the car went into limp mode. Now it's about 1km. I don't know if that's helpful or not.
Thanks again.
