Hvac blower only works on High setting ?

Hey guys having trouble sorting this out.
This car have been off the road for some time
and the hvac needs some work. The blower only works
when I spin the thumb wheel all the way to high.
Is doaent blow at all with the defroster button pressed.
I have read about the miniature switch on the thumb wheel and have
ordered one but I checked it with a meter and it
seems to work. I see there are two resistor/transistor
mounted on the blower housing. I am wondering if this is the issue ?
They are a bit costly at $150 each. I can’t find any info about these
    for the E23 cars.

    Thumbs up

You need new blower transistors. Maybe $6 from Mouser.com and a few hours to R&R the blower parts, then desolder, and resolder the new.
    I make E23 parts.

Ford, MB, and GM round out the pack.
