Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but looking for some advice on a few error codes generated by INPA.
After clearing the errors and taking the car for a spin to induce the problem, INPA produces these error codes:
2B5C
51A7
5E1A
The car goes into limp mode, idles high, and if turned off will only start on the second attempt.
Any idea what's going on?
Thanks.
Is anyone able to help?
I've found the following from searching google:
2B5C - crankshaft sensor
51A7 - gearbox control unit
5E1A - dynamic stability control
Could anyone shed any light on what I should attempt first?
Replacing crankshaft sensor?
Thanks.
When you scan with inpa, it gives you text description of the code. Can you write that here, or screenshots or something?
Helps if you include what ecu you are scanning. I couldn't find any of those codes for the DDE6 in the 2006 E90s.. but maybe I need to be looking in a different profile.

Hi again,
Haven't had much time to dedicate to solving this issue. Fired INPA up today to see if I could get more info. From what I've read, the error 2B5C relates to the crankshaft sensor. Can someone tell me if the screengrab "MSD80 error memory lesen..." supports that?
Should I just go ahead and replace the crankshaft sensor?
Thanks for any help.

Sorry, here's a link to the screen shot:

If anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it!
Is this for the 320d?
Why are you using MSD80 profile for petrol cars?

I had these exact codes with my 2007 e90 328i. The primary symptoms was poor shifting of the transmission and SES was lit. Replaced the crankshaft sensor and all was fine.
