Tire fitment question - '91 e34

Had a flat tire yesterday and it's time for new tires anyway- I have a set of BBS RZ wheels
( e38 16 x 8 " et 23) and was wondering if these wheels would fit with 225-55-16 tires-

Overall the tire height is almost exactly the same as the original 225-60-15" et20 wheels, my ?/concern is will the et23 wheels fit without rubbing the strut tube?

I'm new to e34 ownership but long time e28/e23 owner and just not that well versed on wheels/offset options for these cars.

Appreciate concrete advise as I'll need to order tires soon, thanks in advance.

Mine with Hankook V12 tires slightly rubbed the front strut so I used 3mm spacers to clear. Depending on the tire yours may or may not rub.

Demetk, thanks for the reply- I took a closer look at the original front wheels/tires today, looks like an additional 3mm won't be a factor on the offset, no issues on spring perch and top of the tires, and if the tires I'm looking at (225/55/16) have the same width on top I should be fine.
