Hello. I am trying to bypass the entire control valve auxiliary pump because that plastic nipple broke off..... I haven't seen a clear diagram on what hose goes where.... I recently replaced all 4 hoses involved now I just want to drive my car.... And I'm not paying 500 for a new part... So anyway S could someone point me in the right direction... When I read hose 3 to 23 .... Doesn't help... When you don't know the hose numbers. Thank you for listening
The E38 has the same circuit as the E31 - although the pump is different - but here's how it is done on the E31:

I tried rebuilding with new ebay seals, but it didn't work...I would get heat even with ac on. I end up using e53 x5 heater valves without the pump from eBay 50 bucks and it works great.
+1, mine came from the junkyard for $20.
Thank you.... Very helpful .. Now I just need to undo my bypass.. I took the two hoses from the engine and looped them... I will now put hoses back the way you shown... Thank you..
