Is it possible for a nissan GTR transmission to fit and work in a 1995 bmw e34 540i??? Just curious to know. i was thinking about the other day.
Anything is possible if the money is right.
Probably would be cheaper to just buy the whole GTR
Or maybe take internals from GTR tranny and put inside 540 tranny?
Curious why you'd mate an M60 to a Nissan transmission.
Why is this a thread....?
No.
If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
The GTR transmission is AWD. It would be a lot of custom work to make that work in an e34.
Aside from the obvious issue of connecting it to the motor, you've got to find clearance for custom axles, hubs that can accept axles, etc.
Then if the GTR trans is electronically controlled (diffs), then you are going to have to get a computer to run it.
Lol thanks for reply guys. i am not doing this but i was just curious about it. like "Ateyourv8" siad anything is possible with a lot of money. but yeah why waste the time. just buy the nissan gtr right. Thanks. I got a rebuild coming up soon for my 540i e34 so stay tuned ill post when that time comes.
