Chrome 18x9.5 mpar rep replacement?

Trying to find a suitable replacement for my badly peeling left rear wheel on my 1999 528i. Mine have the detent for the m sticker and are et15. Can anyone direct me to a website that sells these?

As far as I'm aware; nowhere sells them now

If yours is 18x9.5; sounds like it's off an E38 as the E39 ones were 9J on the rears

What's stopping you getting yours refurbed?

If its a cheap rep who knows where it came from, and another rep (or real thing) likely won't match what you got. Yeah one stop would be to refin that one, the other would be hit the classifieds here and elsewhere and eBay for somebody with orphan odd (aka not full set) M-pars but again, the finish won't match almost for sure.

If the offset is 15 then it's most likely a rep. OEM Mpars weren't available with that particular offset.

I know for sure it's a rep but I just can't justify sending off a rep to have it refurbed.. seems like throwing good money after bad. But then again I guess so is buying a new rep lol. Is it true that the oem mpars never came in chrome?

Chrome wheels are a joke. That's a chrome, eh? Those are hard to refinish anyway supposedly. Maybe just plastidip the whole set and call it aday? A poorly plastidipped wheels better than a good chrome one any day anyway...

Hi,

You'll need to keep your eyes peeled on the various BMW forums and their classifieds listings sections, ebay, craigslist, any local breakers yards to see if another counterfeit wheel turns up and which has been chrome plated and also is in good condition, if you want to just buy one wheel.

Alternative is that you purchase a set of four used (or new from anywhere that sells them - keep in mind any such place likely won't sell one wheel only but you never know) counterfeit wheels and then have those all prepped and chrome plated.

Another alternative is to find a set of genuine style 37's and have those prepped and chrome plated.

Just bustin your chops. Most aren't a fan of chrome wheels because the original has such a classic look.
It's your car do as you want, as they say. I have white wheels and a few here don't approve, don't care.
I did them cause I like them so carry on and enjoy the ride.

I like polished aluminum. I can get aluminum to look like a mirror.

Chrome is a pain in the ass, most often the prep wasn't done right so it peels or bubbles and looks like ass.

without lots of prep, at LEAST 3 layers of copper, 2 of nickel and 3 of chrome with a stupid polishing job between layers of plate, it just doesn't look great and won't last.
