    Safest jack points on E24

I’ll be tackling the underside of my car soon since I failed to do so in the 6 years I’ve had it. What’s the safest way to get all four wheels off the ground with enough room to do work under the car? The underside of my car is very rusty, my rear floor boards are rusted through etc so I’ve been very cautious thus far, avoided jack stands and haven’t used anything beside ramps.

Take a jack to the Riff Diff and lift the back end from there. There is a good lift point under the front of the car just behind the Bumper two posts come down that you can jack from in the front. as for where to place the jack stands id just use caution

My engine support struts are bent inward from the PO jacking the car up using these so I avoid them. I also bought a few of those polyurethane jack pads off Ebay which are really invaluable. I keep one in each car cause here in Ma, they insist on jacking up the car to check the front end during inspection. The pad ensures they use the jack point and aren't gonna trash anything.
