Passenger Door Lock Cylinder. . .

    Couple questions regarding Locks.

My e24 has been without locks for about 5 years.

I just recently re keyed the whole car.

Every seems ok but i'm not sure how it's supposed to function anymore.

When i lock and unlock the trunk it locks/unlocks driver/passenger door.

when I lock the drivers door it locks the passenger door only does not lock or unlock the trunk is this how it should function?

my passenger door does not actuate anything but the door itself.

it's missing a "hook" on a plastic piece that connects to the cylinder to actuate the switch.

im hoping that someone has this plastic connector that wouldn't mind selling me it

as id wish not to pay $87 for a whole kit.

it's the white plastic part on the far right.

The passenger lock is supposed to lock everything just like the driver's lock. The trunk works as you described.
My driver's side stopped working a couple of years ago because the lock cyl stopped actuating and just spins. I can occasionally get the pass door lock to work because I can see and hear the inside lock push buttons going down but pop right up again. Something is not keeping them down and locked. I have to crawl in from the pass side and push the driver's button down by hand which sets and locks all the doors and crawl out and shut the pass door behind me. Now all doors are locked. Now to unlock the entire car, I unlock the passenger door which physically unlocks that door but tries to unlock the driver's door...but not completely. Now I have to crawl in again and pull on the door lever which raises the lock button and now all is unlocked. Pheww!
