    WTB HVAC Vacuum Solenoid

The solenoid for the heater valve has decided to take a trip down the rainbow bridge. Does anyone have a spare functioning solenoid that they would be willing to part with?

    Thanks,

I'll check my parts car if you haven't found anything yet. My heater valve is definitely shot, but the solenoid might still be good.

All of the HVAC solenoids are interchangeable, so it doesn't need to be specifically the heater valve one. Appreciate the effort. If you're able to find any good ones, I'll take a few off your hands.

Mine seemed shot too but I was able to fix it easily. The outer rim of the diaphragm wasn't evenly seated in place in the plastic housing, so it couldn't seal. The housing has a plastic cap that separates somehow, but I've forgotten exactly how - maybe it's a twist lock mechanism.

You are talking about the vacuum pod, he is talking about the solenoid-a small metal cube that actually applies vacuum to the pod.

This is correct, just looking for the cube-shaped electronic solenoids.

    Are the solenoids/cubes different colors?

Jay, thanks. If anyone is interested there is an '84 733 at the Pull and Save in the Spokane Valley, Spokane Washington. Maroon over black and it looks like the dash/HVAC guts are still there. May be worth a look for someone.
