Can both the JB4 and MHD be run simultaneously?
I like options on both.
Naturally, I wouldn't try to overlap mappings or other similar parameter.
Thanks.
What you are describing is essentially running the JB4 with BEF or backend flash. You can essentially run them together as long as you use a Backend flash designed for use with the JB4. MHD has some cool options, but I would avoid the burble option because it dramatically shortens turbo life.
Hammer on nail head.
That's what I was looking at.
Thanks RS!
Any alternative that sounds fun, but low cost?
The free Bimmerboost 2.0 app should be out in a couple weeks. That will be free to flash with and BEF flashes are free. There should be some nice affordable tunes through that too. Check the germanboost n54 forum for updates on that. I'm guessing an off the shelf tune will be around $100. With jb4 or flash tunes, it's important to log for safety. I'm a little bothered that MHD charges extra for logging when it's so important. Bimmerboost 2.0 will log for free. I really like the safety features and map switching of the jb4, but I like the smoothness of a flash tune. JB4 with backend flash is the best of both worlds, but a good flash tune should give very nice results for a lot less money. I'm holding out for Bimmerboost 2.0 to see what's offered.
