Final stop - Broke a bunch of rules - BFc rebel scum royalty

Well gents, it's been fun. After almost a decade with my e36, I've come to a point where I am ready to move on to my 2002 full time. I could never have gotten this far without the forum's endless supply of DIY's, suggestions, and parts market. So if we've crossed paths in the past, thank you.

Honestly the car is perfect, despite still being a mostly stock engine. Just did my last canyon run with 100+ miles of breakneck turns of every type and the car was flawless every inch of the way. She's going out at the absolute peak of her game, and I couldn't be happier about that.

Below are some final pictures, a couple were in between modifications, but it's mostly in order. More pics can be seen if you wish by clicking the build thread in my signature. I hope to be back before too long, with an absolute beast of an 'o2.

You get out your phone and call the tow truck every time your running a little low.

And I love crazy/off the wall ideas but the rest of the car doesn't pull off the look. You have the most basic wheels and no suspension... needs more to complete the look

You just remove the allen bolt and thread in an adapter to fill it up with air.

Cap is removable, thread in the stem, do whatever you need, recap. Just something different - it's fun to see who notices the little things.

Let me stop you right there rofl. This car is NOT about looks, it's all about driving enjoyment. The only thing the car really HAS is suspension. Eibach coilovers all around, which are re-valved to match the springs. e30 tie rods to offset bump steer. Correctly rated poly or delrin bushings everywhere that counts. Reinforcements everywhere, front strut brace, x-brace, pillowball camber plates, spherical rear trailing arm bushings, UUC rear camber adjustment arms, front and rear sway bars. Front tires are 200's to prevent understeer. I'm sure there's more I'm not remembering off the top of my head, but you get the picture.

Sure, they ARE basic wheels, but they are cheap as feck, they've never bent or broken, they look nice, and they are under 17 pounds each. Show me another wheel that's better in some way and costs $175.

Not really. I just like the look of nothing poking out.

If I tracked this car, I would never even consider them. But I don't, sooo here we are.

Hahaha, well done. Let me rephrase then. This car doesn't look the way it does for anyone else except me. Ijdgaf about the typical clears LTW and drop BFc scene kid mandated mod guidelines.

Written english has gotten weird. I Did not understand either title nor the sentence.

You have done some mods to your car that has taken it to the direction that makes it better for your driving. That is a great feeling I know.

Next mod could be put the original plastic tray back under the engine room to make airflow better.

Car has always had a Motion Motorsports aluminum underpanel, which is far superior to the OEM piece with "porkchops"

Looks nice and clean other than the sharpie. Not feeling the sharpie thing. But it's your car.

It was extremely neglected cashmere beige before.

I just couldn't live with it, so I needed a solution that covered that without adding anything that had to be stripped/sanded/left glue behind if I were to get a paint job later. I could never justify the cost of paint though, so it just stayed this way and got a re-coat once or twice a year. Since it's only pigment, it would wipe right off with acetone/alcohol.

As an added bonus the car has never been broken into or vandalized because it doesn't look special on the outside.

    Woah woah woah.......
No need to get personal here.
I think the car is rad. Over the top, and totally unassuming at the same time. A rolling paradox.
You are being a bit coy here though, did you sell the car? Just parking it? Parting it?

Nah lol, you should know me by now dude. Nothing personal.

It's being parted out just because nobody wants to buy a finished car... at least not for anything near what it's worth. That will in turn be put right back into the 2002.

car looks kinda fun and the sharpie look is different.

If you're parting out, is that a eurosport/conforti intake I see?

'Tis a Conforti. I just wrapped the engine side of the heat shield with aluminized kevlar to keep any heat out of the intake. Since this one seals up against the hood, it does an excellent job of being an actual cold air intake.

Always been a fan of this car and your "car that stole my life" thread. I'm sure it will be tough parting it out but good luck with the 2002!

Love reading the different opinions in this thread. Too each their own, and I really dig this build.

Send me a PM on it, just so I remember. Nobody has claimed dibs on it yet so you'll be first in line.

Thanks man! I will still be around the community, and watching all of you continue your individual journeys. I still have plenty of friends with e36'ers and other various BMWs, so I will never be far. And you can bet your ass if I get rich, I'm buying a whole stable of e36's again lol.

I love it. Lots of cool little details. Sad to see it parted but the 02 will be sick.
