    Seat inclination motor voltage regulator

Ive been in the process of getting my passengers seat fixed as it was pretty much dead it all directions except seat back with twist. I removed it and got all the motors working, seemed like there was corrosion on the commutator of all the motors. The car was a flood car (I found out the hard way)

Anyway I broke one motor by accident and it is for the front pitch inclination. P/N: 52101378838. I am looking on ebay and there is one for $29 + $9 shipping, identical. I found another with a voltage regulator attachment on the rear of the motor. Motor and gearbox look identical and it is showing up on RealOEM as another part number but for my car. According to his post, it is interchangeable with my P/N. It is selling for $24 and free shipping.

Thanks, just needed to double check. Any reason why this voltage regulator is attached to some of these motors?

I just did a seat teardown on the E32 I'm restoring a few days ago. The Ebay link that you provided seems to be the motor for the seat rails to move forwards and backwards. As you will see, to remove these motors you will need to remove the plate underneath the seat that are not bolted on, but riveted. There is no way to slide out the motors without removing this metal plate.

I have removed the seats and I just used an air chisel gun and sheared the rivets off. This gave me access. The seat inclination motor looks like its the seat rail motor but there are 2 that look alike. The seat rail motor has a thru shaft on the gearbox with 2 ends. The other end attached to the rod that drives a gear on the other side of the seat.

Purchased the eBay motor, still waiting for it to ship
