Hello guys.
Doors lock problem :
I cant lock drivers door from key knob. All doors locking except drivers side. Today i took out locking mechanism, took off actuator, tried it on cars battery and it looks alive.
So i tried again to put it to all system, connected to car wires and again no sign, just heard strange silently sound from actuator "Zzz". Also checked wires from door to car body, didnt notice any broken wires in connectors.
Side mirror problem :
Also side mirror which is on drivers door not controlling properly, as i notice in morning it also not heating up. When i try to control it, it just move a little sometimes or not moving overall. Took off glass from mirror, also i can hear silently sound "Zzz"
All these bad things started when i was playing with Inpa (Updated my engine soft/Automatic gearbox soft) and my friend confused postive and negative cables on cars battery. So changed all burnt fuses after incident, which is in back and front (panel), except cd changer fuse, because need to buy new one. So my car running good, other things with electrical working good. mechanical also, just these two things.
So where i can search for fix? Any thoughts? Any suggestions?

Both the lock and the mirror are controlled by the "drivers door module", which is the part with all the switches in it.
The General Module (which is behind the glove box) sends a data command over the 'P-bus' to all the lock modules to unlock the car. The drivers door module should receive that message and then try and unlock the door. If that doesn't work, we know the GM is probably good because its telling all the other lock modules in the car to do their thing and that is working... So...
- Maybe the P-bus connection to the drivers door module is bad
- Maybe the drivers door module itself is bad
- Maybe the actuator is bad or failing (like maybe it works with full voltage but is supposed to work on a lower voltage/current from the door module..)
As for the mirror - the motors do crap out for sure sometimes. I have a whole thread on how to source and replace only the motors inside the mirror module.
What could have happened? Maybe your power screw up blew out the drivers door module?

Step 1: Pour ample amounts of crazy glue into your friend's pants pockets and then ask him to check for loose change. That should keep him from putting his hands on your car again.
Step 2: listen to geargrinder's wisdom. If both issues popped up after the neg-pos mix up, and they are both controlled by the driver door module, that's a good place to start.

Thank you guys. One question if im about to change door module, its need to be reprogrammed/sync or not ?
No programming is required, plug and play.
Ed, good crazy glue suggestion.
I had similar symptoms and it turned out to be that when I removed and reinstalled the drivers door panel I didn’t seat the connector to the door module properly.
So it could be that or the module going bad.
