Guys I have the following codes from my Peake code reader:
2A6B Valvetronic Power limitation.
29E7 Mixture adaption at idle speed part time
29E8 Mixture adaption 2 at idle speed part time
29EF Mixture adaption total fault
29FO Mixture adaption 2 total fault
2E95 Generator
2E9F Oil status sensor
Battery is less than a year old. Car was fine until last week. Check engine light says increased emissions, engine is NOT in limp mode. About two weeks before light came on, engine would have an intermittent rough idle, not bad just annoying.
Suggestions please.... Herb.... anyone..... Thanks very much.
PS I assume "2" means bank 2?
OK Guys I cleared the codes and two days later only these four showed up. Thoughts please.
29E7 Mixture adaption at idle speed part time
29E8 Mixture adaption 2 at idle speed part time
29EF Mixture adaption total fault
29FO Mixture adaption 2 total fault
The two most likely candidates are, split diaphragms on the PCV's - and a faulty MAF (or a dodgy Chinese one fitted):

Thanks Tim. I replaced the diaphragms with BMW ones about 2 months ago. Also thought it was the MAF, an Indy replaced that for me while doing some other work. I brought it back to him because I had a sporadic mild rough idle and thought it was a defectivre MAF. He replaced it again, no real difference, but also no CEL at that time ..... Its a mystery.
Is he replacing it with the real OEM version though - the after-market copies are well known to cause these very problems.....
