They weren't equally bad. There was one, or maybe even two of them on which I could actually jam the retaining clips almost all the way down. The rest were left up a bit because there was clearly no way they were going home. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the retaining clips fell completely off three or four of them while I was handling them.
But to reiterate, they are firing so far, perfectly fine. If I wasn't in the habit of changing my plugs so often, I'd probably just leave them in.
Pulling these godforsaken coils out today and sending them back to Amazon!
I crack myself up saying that because they actually functioned perfectly well as coils. I've run them up to about 19psi of boost at nearly 7k RPMs on E85 (albeit at .015" gap), and they seem to have functioned perfectly. But DAMN getting them out to change or check plugs is a giant pain.
For now my 163k Bosch coils are going back in with new boots on them. They seem to have worked perfectly so far also, even with the old boots on them, and they are super easy to deal with for plug pulling chores.
Digging old thread because I'd like to know how well this generic brand worked and for how long?
