DSC Malfunction light (plus brake light)

Hello I have a e92 BMW 335i and I recently got the DSC malfunction light on dash and Idrive, plus the brake light on dash. Any ideas? Question is could the cause be a coincidence that I hit a curb with the right rear tire at 10 mph making a turn, 10 minutes later the light came on. Or is it steering angle sensor related. Thanks

LOL that is unlikely to be a coincidence. You need to pull the codes.

Probably not a coincidence. I'd recommend getting a BMW-specific code scanner (such as Carista) and checking what the fault code is. Even before that, turn the wheels all the way in one direction and inspect all suspension components visually. There's an ABS sensor connector there, too, so check its connection.

Thanks will do, guessing it might be that abs sensor loose and it comes on when I make a harsh turn or accelerate quickly and then goes off randomly

I have the same problem but mine stays on for a long period of time.

If you don't see any visually obvious disconnections or messed up wiring or connectors, I think your only course of action is to get a BMW-specific scan tool and check the code. I recommend Carista.
